Hi there! Thanks for stopping by, whether it’s right after this post goes up or sometime in the future. I’m Claire, and I’m in my twenties, trying to navigate this thing called life.
Overall, I’m feeling pretty good about where things are right now. I’ve got a job I genuinely enjoy, I live with my parents (who I get along with well..and they don’t charge me rent..), and I’m surrounded by a fantastic group of friends. I have a great workout routine, I’m eating well, and I make time for daily reflection. I’m doing everything in the book that is supposedly supposed to make your life more fulfilling, but there’s still something missing.
I’ve always had this feeling that I’m meant to do more. I’ve never had a single dream job or a hobby I’m deeply passionate about. I obsess over something for a few weeks to the point where i’ve done research in every possible area, and then I get bored and give it up. (I think this may be due to some undiagnosed ADHD). But this makes planning for the future feel daunting.
Instead of focusing on what others have, I’ve always told myself, “It might not be today, or next year, but when the time is right, I’ll make it happen.” And I’ve seen that mindset pay off. What’s meant for you won’t pass you by. I believe that with the right mindset, you can achieve what you set out to do.
But here’s the secret: I’m not chasing unrealistic dreams—I focus on achievable goals and work to make them a reality. I got into the college I wanted, joined a sorority I admired, graduated on time after changing my major three times, and landed a job that was perfect for me at that time. And while I love my current job, I’ve always expected more from myself.
The conventional 9-to-5 grind and living for the weekends doesn’t quite fit me. I’m not thrilled about asking for time off or having limits on it. So, I’m searching for something that better aligns with my aspirations.
Here’s what I know:
- I want a career with more flexibility.
- I want to move to the beach.
- I want to build new connections in that beach town.
- I want to feel a deeper sense of fulfillment.
These goals feel within reach. How I’ll achieve them is still unfolding, but I’m excited to figure it out along the way!
So, if you’re interested, join me on this journey. Let’s see where it leads.
